Economics in Society

The Economics Group is definitely not focussed on studying economic theory! Members of the group propose topics that have an economics component which we research and then discuss. In the recent past we have discussed Brexit, Covid, Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change and GDP. We often have a professional economist present to help put our questions in the context of Government, The Treasury and the Bank of England. The meetings are serious but light-hearted; members of the group have a good sense of humour!
